Hi,
I'm playing Down in the Bonehoard(Thief: Gold, on Expert).
Anyway, in "The Halls of Echoing Repose" there is a locked door. It's the only one in the whole level, if I'm not mistaken. I can find no key, lever or anything to open it. I even tried bringing the hammer from the beginning of the level and throwing it against the bloody thing for awhile.
Please help!!!!!!!!
Thanks!

Is it a red door, and is there a burrick patrolling nearby? Are you playing on Normal or Hard, then? If so, play on Expert to be able to get in there.

If it's on the higher level on the shelf across from the ladder. It is, as Jt says, only accessible on EXPERT.
You will find that nearly all the missions have areas that change with the level of difficulty.

Been a few years, I should go play that again. Tombs with piped in music........how classy.

Yep. I don't think those are the Halls of Echoing repose. That door blocks the way to a different quest item that is only available on the Expert setting. You have many more miles of tomb to crawl through before you find the horn. Keep looking. :)

Um, guys....he said in his initial post he is playing on Expert. Is he possibly mistaken, or is something else wrong?

The door in octagonal halls(leads to Mystic's Soul) is open on Hard and Expert, the one near burrick(to Mystic's Heart) is only open on Expert.

I put a possible cause in spoilers since I don't know if you've played the game before, or don't know what's in that chamber already. If you even care at this point.:laff:
Okay. I can tell you with certainty that that door should not be locked, ever. If it's not a complete glitch, the only theory I have is that
the falling rock trap was somehow activated and the rocks are blocking the door from opening. It's pretty cool that you took the time to draw that, and just for anyone looking at it, it's actually rotated 180°. There's a gold vase in that room. I rotated this DromEd screenshot to match:

Any other theories, peeps?
