You've played Deus Ex 3? What didn't you like about it?
Thief 3 was a damn fine game. No, it didn't reach the glorious heights of Thief Gold but that's not a realistic standard for any game. The atmosphere and writing were as good as anything, and while it stumbled with some of the mechanics it wasn't a complete departure like DXIW was (granted, I've always played DX/DXIW like Thief so the missing RPG elements don't bother me too much). I still spent the entire time sitting in a shadow observing guard patrols and figuring out what I needed to do next.
If I were the sort of person who was constantly disappointed by sequels, I think I'd stop buying sequels. Maybe that's too difficult of a lesson to learn, I dunno.
Thief 3 was fucking excellent. Honestly, I have to thank Thief 3 for even reminding me there was a Thief series to begin with.
Invisible War...
Yeah, no.

Thief: DS was about a hag and some runes, wasn't it? It was largely forgettable, and I say that with the utmost confidence because I largely forgot it. Except for The Cradle, of course. And the awfulness of the gloves. And the lack of a Thieves' Highway. The maps were too tight, too boxy, too uninspired. The game did some things right, some things wrong, and some things that were just terrible no matter how you sliced it. It's certainly not the first rung on the ladder of well-made stealth-'em-up/sneaking games.

Thief 3 had its problems, but it still felt like a Thief game, albeit a fairly constrained one. No Thieves' Highway? Well that's okay, there wasn't one in the first game either.
and I liked the gloves :(
Invisible War, though... man. Invisible War had nothing going for it. It didn't even feel like Deus Ex.

God, I wish everyone would just admit the gloves were kinda cool. They obviously couldn't get ropes working properly, and the gloves were what they came up with. At the end of the day, I thought it was a good choice.

I liked Thi3f a lot, in fact it was the first Thief game that I actually completed, but even I thought the gloves were lame.

WHAT THE FUUUCK. That image is FOUR FUCKING MB. Jesus christ, how the fuck? This adds up to over 5 bytes per fucking pixel. What the hell?
(sorry for the spaz, my internet blows and it was taking forever to load and when I checked the filesize it just didnt make any sense given RGB should only be 3 bytes per color, 4 max if you have alpha, not to mention PNG should be compressed).

No shit. Sorry Yakoob, buddy ol' buddy ol' buddy ol' pal, but you fail at life for bitching about the file-size and then REPOSTING IT ON THE NEXT PAGE. L-O-FUCKING-L. :laff:
I get your argument, but... :p

I agree with Yakoob. I hate it when people post trivial things like game screenshots in the uncompressed PNG (or BMP) bloat format, especially using [IMG] tags. JPG would've been more than adequate.
