The fact that it's being reportedly released in February 2011 - barely 6 months from now - is very upsetting. Spend just a little more time in development, please. Let's not have another Awakening.

I'm pretty sure DA2 was already in development while DAO wasn't even out. Bioware usually doesn't rush games, so I'm not worried.

Truly, but if it follows the trend, origins pre-rendered trailer was quite boring too, so hopefully there'll be a better ingame trailer sometime in the future.

The thing is, this is the kind of trailer that made a lot of people buy the first dragon age.
For me personally, there was nothing in that trailer that wasn't derivative to the point of boring From the cliche narration, to the combat sequence with the cliche "Let's run into each other!" beginning, to the visual effects. However, short and flashy is what the majority of consumers want, so that's what EA marketing will deliver.
On the plus side, I have pretty much given up on the RPG genre, so it's not really a loss if I have no investment in the first place.

Wow, talk about a fast turn-about on this sequel.
