Playing this one, and stuck already.
I frobbed the lever in the big beam room, and into the secret hallway that opened. I found a vase and a note, but no key that could open the only locked door. Anyone knows what to do?

There's a key in there but it's incredibly hard to spot. Check the floor over very carefully.

Now that's just mean. In any way, thanks , NW! :)

N.W. couldn't you please give us a hint of where "on the floor" the key to the locked room is. I have frobbed the rock floor and both of the partial wooden floors above.
Glad this game was posted, as it is brand new to me.

It's been years since I've played this but I THINK this is the key you're looking for:

go over the waterfall and swim to the right into a watery tunnel. Take the first left turn and the skull is on the bottom. It's hard to spot so look carefully.

Thank you N.W. That has to be the key. Funny, I roped up to that room and just got a vase and a note on the desk...didn't search the floor... :tsktsk:

Thank you ..... I finally found the skull ..... :thumb::thumb::thumb:

Not exactly a great mission, but I liked its concept and flow. The standout feature is probably the otherworldly cavern of glowing rock where you pick a locked box while several undead lurk in the dark corners right next to you and a disembodied voice whispers "Die... die... die..."
The setting is interesting. Journals are placed along the players' path. If they find and read all of them, the backstory gradually unfolds. This was well done. At the same time, I would have liked to read more on what the mages were trying to accomplish in this place. And "Project Dread" in the journal of the excavation leader‘s journal sounded silly to me.
Most rooms are rectangular boxes. The texture work is very basic. I was okay with this in the caves. Not all missions can be architectural masterpieces. Where it really fell flat was in the mages‘ building: On the outside, it is just a rectangular box. On the inside, it is corridors lined with doors leading to more box rooms. There were too many doors and locked boxes to pick. What should have been an exciting finale turned out to be a chore to go through.
There also the usual sound propagation problems near doors and objects floating in midair. Some invisible objects in two large, open areas with trees and bushes forced me to find a way around them. A texture for stalactites in the caves could not be loaded.
I needed a hint from the forums get out of the first area because I did not see the grey key hidden on the grey stone floor. That was just mean.
Finished on Normal in 54 minutes with 1604 of 1604 total loot.
