Tony, you realise that's a painting and not a photograph right?
Do y9ou understand the difference between evidence and supposition right?
You do realize that there was no such thing as a photograph in the 1st and 4th centuries AD, right?

How do you get from the existence of emergent patterns in nature to the verification of Christian doctrine? The Universal Church of Rome was the love child of political and military expediency. It had so little to do with Christian doctrine that the man who engineered it, Emperor Constantine, remained a pagan until his death. His triumphal arch has no christian symbols on it at all. The cross in the sky at Milvian Bridge was propaganda and Constantine's Christianisation of his empire was about consolidation and backing the most popular horse.
I'm well aware of that. It also had to do with the fact that his opposition was largely Christian, and branding himself as the "Christian" faction did a lot to undermine his opposition's case. The mistake you're making is assuming that various ways in which Christianity has been used for political reasons has any relation whatsoever to the scholarly aspect of the religion.
My comments also cited Christianity, but are not exclusive to Christianity. There are substantial correlations between the Bible(old testament in particular), the Upanishads, Egyptian sun worship, the Koran, and the Kabbalah.....but it is impossible
to understand the common themes until you can understand the solar symbology that the associated cultures used. I recommend Oedipus Judaicus not because it's all comprehensive but because it clearly explains the connections("connexians", in the book's dialect) between Indian astrology, Old Testament allegory, and the Egyptian symbology that links the two.
On second thought...clearly isn't the word. He does a good job of explaining it but the text is written in a manner that is going to be extremely difficult for the mind of a 21st century-educated person to study.

are you trying to make a case for Christianity or is this a Ninja mind trick?
Much more the latter. While the book does have some interesting stuff, it's mostly intended because it's likely to make DDL uncomfortable(There's no point in conversing directly with someone who wants to chuck stones from a distant but is unwilling to defend his ideas directly).

If you can't see what is wrong with citing the Koran as evidence for Christ's existence there really is no helping you.
It's beyond... just... i can't even

In other words, you don't think your arguments are particularly cogent or relevant but they might be annoying, i/e/ trolling.

I admit I've had my own problems with DDL's debate style in the past but Tony Tarantula's debate style is worse.

Coming from someone who thinks Family Guy is "brilliant" and "insightful".
And yes that's relevant because as usual the point has gone so far over your head as to be comical.

Those comments were "nature of the universe" type stuff here, and were not directed at the existence of a specific individual. While I have my own opinion on that it's not a point I was attempting to ague in that particular post

In all seriousness, there is a point to it. It seems he didn't take the bait but the attempt there was to drag him off his pedestal of sneer so I can actually engage him.
Besides....for all his snark he still has yet to point out where I"m wrong. Also, the fact that my advice in the other thread is identical to what the ladies were telling Van Hellsing should tell you all something (and is a fact that went completely over NuEffect and DDL's dense heads)

Hey, just thought I'd stumble by to see what's happening in the old..... Jesus H Christ...
Antiquarian secret histories.... alright then.
We'll be all Zeitgeist and David Ike in no time...
