DREAMING Thief ... - by moria

I dream "Thief" dreams quite regularly. By that I mean maybe once every 5 months or so. The scenario is always some strange mansion that I have to break into. The strange thing is, I (almost) never meet anyone, or find anything of real value inside the mansion. Just sneaking around in gigantic, shadow-clad halls, or silently sweeping through ancient libraries. Almost always, the dream involves some kind of elaborate climbing to get into/out of the house. This, and the eerie loneliness inside the house, can make the dreams quite scary. Once or twice, the thief-dream was carried over into a hellish slaughterfest doom-style dream. Exciting but exhausting!
Edit: The architecture of the mansion is often breathtaking. Gigantic halls, pillars and vaults, made of the finest marble. Sometimes the interiors are bordering on escher-esque. In many places (outdoors/outside), the man-made structures are somehow intertwined with trees and vegetation, making a climb difficult and dangerous, but always rewarding!

I dreamed the Thief 3 scenarios, even before it came out, that's why I am so bounded with it.
Those stone walls... But the difference were that I was in a valley, where at the bottom there was a river with a lot of pebbles, and often I killed someone, being a sort of demon, with my claws, or stealing some girl for sexual pleasures, then I was caught by some person, and followed by the police, they shooted on me, but I was able to avoid their bullets, flying over the rooftops, even the rooftops, and that decadent-naive style of the walls were similar. I flew so high, that I could see all the landscape,what a great sensation! But sometime I fell over the high-tension wires, and then I woke up.
Thief is similar: even if you can't fly, you are followed, like my dreamd, by the guard, and the place were very similar to the Pagan's den (or "Sanctuary"), with all that pebbled ruins.

well i also had a dream, but it was long ago. Couple of months before Thief 3 was released actually, it was after a long marathon of thief 3 screens and videos. So i wanted thief 3 so badly, that i had a dream where i was garret. But it was kinda strange, cuz i was inside the game. so everything was thief 3 graphics :confused:

At the height of my playing, I would be on ThieveryUT for about five hours a day.:erm: I'd often dream about that, but I've only had a couple dreams about Thief.

Last night I dreamt that the Dark Mod was released, and ended up being covered by the BBC. But they'd only found out about it through some badly translated Italian fan website so everything that they were reporting was hilariously wrong.

Hehe, it's a coincidence. I'm waiting patiently for the Dark Mod to be released and Italy has cropped up loads for me recently so it's all mixed together in my unconscious.
