Hello, you.. ordinary people? :cheeky: I have a few questions with DromEd again. I know the basics of the engine and built a mission (though I don't plan on releasing it for various reasons), but I'm new to the weather system. I can't seem to get it to function. Fog will, but not rain. I checked my settings on my separate installation I use for DromEd, and weather works fine in-game. It also works if I open one of the Gervasius missions in DromEd and go into game mode. I've already read some tutorials and I blatantly copied the settings, but they don't work. Is there a specific height for the room brush that's needed, or something else I'm just not getting entirely? Thanks. :)

40 feet. You can also use 20 over 20 as long as you use 40 feet from the ground level up. You can go much higher. In my last fm I went up 150 feet. Using NewDark V1.21 Be cautious of overlapping room brushes on the inside of doorways, and inside buildings as the rain comes through the cells that are created. You can use blockables at doorways to help control leaks.
Select your roombrush which you intend on using for weather. Edit>Add>Weather, then select what you need.
Also, there may be an option in Thief2 for rain, under weather. There is for fog.

It's not necessarily 40 units, Rod. It depends on what you set the Render Distance to under weather settings. If you set that to 60, then any time the top of the airbrush you're in is less than 60 units above your head, the precipitation will stop. I would recommend making the top of those outdoor airbrushes (and roombrushes) a good 100+ units high just so you never have to worry about it. Generally, 40-50 is fine for render distance.

I guess the ceilings were too low, because I got it working now. Thanks so much guys. :D
