sorry, don't understand .. what double-plus?
It was continuing ZB's reference to the book
1984 by Orwell.

I tried to open this mission using the above advice, and it works but it's so slow and bogged down that it's hard to even move or look around. I even loaded it without moving over any of the new textures or objects, the whole level is basically Jorge, but I can't move around because of the massive lag. Any ideas?

Without dromed in front of me, I'm not sure what the option is called, but set the 3d view pane to brushes or wireframe or whatever it's called and not solid world. Then you should be able to move around. You can check your location by setting it back to solid world for a second, then change it back to wireframe brushes to move around again.

F2 cycles through Wireframe Brushes / Solid World / Solid + Selection / Solid + All Wireframe.

I'll try that. Anyone know what would cause the slowdown though? I mean, none of the custom material is being loaded, so something else must be causing it. This is on a very up-to-date PC that runs the actual mission just fine.

I think even if there is a lot of custom objects rendering as white wedges, the sheer number of them will cause a slowdown. My mission's 3d window causes dromed to run like a power point presentation through some areas. In game mode it's fine. To get through them quickly I just switch between solid world and wireframe brushes as needed.

Is Dromed running in hardware rendering mode? If it's in software rendering, fuggedaboutit.
