I am new to dromed and have gone through a lot of tutorials. When I run dromed, i do not get grids on the 3 2d windows. I have show grid on for them and it does not seem to snap my objects. I do have use grid on. Any ideas? Thanks.

You can't snap objects to the grid. Only terrain brushes (and room brushes).
I guess you're outside of "the world" and want to know how to get inside? Set the cursor in the middle of a air brush, set persistent_player_pos and portalize. Now you can see something.

I don't see any grids, any idea why? When I said objects , I did mean brushes.

No I can see and render , add textures portalize, etc. Say I clone a room and shift to move it, it will not snap to the grid and there is no grid. Everything is turned on

Did you set "hide grid" or something? Set solid+selection in the editor window.

Your 2d views seem to be zoomed out much enough so the grid doesn't appear on them anymore.
Also, that another 16x16x16 brush is snapped to the grid.

Just a thought...maybe you can't just see the grid because it's set to 12, and you zoomed in. Try setting it to 16, or at least 13, and zoom out and see if it appears.
oops, gigagooga beated me...;)

That's it thanks a million guys. :)
I will get the hang of it. Going from 3ds max to this is a learning curve. My mindset is thinking of how i do things in a different program.
