My last mission in the campaign I'm working on is pregnant with objects, AI, etc. At certain angles, the monolog will pop up with a message that says, "Too many objects to render, blah, blah, blah." I've increased the pertinent values in the .cfg, but they still show up.
Now in the actual game, I don't get these warnings. However, should I take them to heart? Am I skirting disaster?

How many backface checks in this area? If the game isn't unplayable, you can ignore this warning. That's just too much polys for the editor 2d-window. But you need to test your mission on different rigs, such as those bad intel graphic 'videocards' that many players are using (unfortunately). If FPS is less than 20-25 in this area, the game's stuttering.

I'll make sure to have a few beta-testers with old machines.
I'm having to put a lot of decorative solid brush structures in every place they'll fit so the player won't be able to see too much at one time. Still, there will likely be a few sight lines that may strangle some video cards.
NVidia, baby! Hoo-rah! (ATI card users start hissing and booing.)
