Just because you both don't like dromed 1 doesnt mean others have to dislike it too!
I'm pretty sure I didn't imply that. If I did then it was unintentional and I apologise.
My dislike of D1 is actually borne out of fairly recent attempts to help people with D1. In D1, solutions that in D2 would have been nice and simple turned out to be frustratingly complex because of the lack of one or two properties.

I'm sorry. It's just that when I read (
http://www.ttlg.com/forums/showthread.php?p=1698270#post1698270) this from you, I interpreted it as "why the hell would you want to use dromed 1, it's inferior, etc. etc" in reply to the post right above yours. I also got the impression (from not just you but Nameless Voice as well) from other threads(I don't remember, but it doesn't matter anymore), not just from here....
So I equally apologize for jumping to conclusions....

Either i have an already patched up version of Dromed or I already installed something on it, cause i have more menu options than on the original Dromed from CD.
Can i just install this download onto it or do I need to find the original dromed?

Forgive me if this is off-base, but it seems to me that you probably "applied" the extra menus configuration to dromed.... And, if I'm not mistaken (from reading the first thread) this toolkit (thought I'll be honest with you, I have not used it myself) adds menus, so whether you have different ones or not it will simply override them.

Yeah there is a good chance I installed some add to Dromed. But must have been a long time ago. But since this toolkit here seems to be new there is a chance Dromed might have more options afterwards.
I'll just try to install it. Worst case scenario I'll have to get original Dromed again from my cd.

You mean the zoom?
Why would you want to? Thief 1 had zoom too (bow zoom), Thief 2's is just more controlable.
I could be wrong, but what I remember is that in T1 Garrett could not zoom (other than arrow aiming) prior to getting his mechanical eye. I used the bow to get a close look at things before then. So if your mission is set in time prior to the mechanical eye, I can understand why you might want to eliminate the ability to zoom in, for continuity's sake .. imho

Yes. And this has already been explained by qolelis.

Sory for raising this from the dead, but is this the best version of DromEd to use? Also, why hasn't this thread been stickied?
Yandros on 19/3/2009 at 04:24
This isn't a version of Dromed, it's just a toolkit of useful tools and addons.

I think we can safely call this unoffical patch because there some new features like TGA support ;). But back to Myth's question, yes this the best version to use if you are a beginner.
