DromEd/ShockEd for System Shock 2: WASD, keybinds, and saving not working. - by dmbecan

I have been trying for two days now to get SS2's editor to work. I got System Shock 2 installed, and installed SS2Tool_v5.1 along with ShockEd from the new patch. I can go in game through the bar at the top, and can edit things in the editor, but the keybinds do not work. In other words, WASD and DELETE and all other keys do not work in editor. I also cannot use ALT-G/ALT-E to switch in and out. I need to be able to use the keyboard so I can navigate the editor easily. Otherwise it's just a hassle. Saving also does not work (as I found out after testing a mission I was working on) which is a huge problem. Please help. I was able to use this flawlessly on my old PC and I'm dying to edit the game again. Thanks.

I dont know about ShockEd, but it sounds a bit like the problems with new Dark dromed if you dont install the NVtoolkit first

I've tried installing SS2, then the Toolkit. After that, I install Newdark using SS2Tool 5.1 and then put in the editor files from the newdark patch because the default Dromed had performance issues which crashed my pc when I went in game. I still can't get it to work. Can you give me exact steps on how to get SS2 ready to use ShockEd? Also, I'm having the same keybind problems with Thief 2 DromEd, so if you could add steps on how to get that to work as well would be great. Thanks.

I used the ss2 site and got that working. Thank you for that. But I still can't get the Thief 2 editor to work with keybinds.
