I just installed Deadly Shadows and am trying to play it. First i went to the options menu. The game would not let me scroll through the settings. For example, under A/V I can change the stuff up top (brightness, screen resolution) but I can't scroll down to get to the sound options etc. If I use the slider on the side of the screen to scroll down, it snaps back up to the top.
So I gave up on that and started the game. I have no control over Garret's movement at all. I can look around just fine, and swing at things, but I have no control over what direction he is going in. He just sort of wanders around on his own.
Anybody have any idea what on earth is going on? I'm playing on Windows XP, and don't have gamepads or anything else unusual connected to my computer. I'm using a plain old Logitech USB optical mouse, and a Saitek USB keyboard.

it's probably your keyboard or your mouse or both.

Yeah, it seems to be my high dollar Saitek keyboard that is causing the problem. Switched it out for my roomate's cheap old generic keyboard and the game works just fine.
Still, if anyone knows of a way around this so I don't have to keep switching keyboards every time I switch games...

I don't suppose updating the drivers would help?
