That bit about potentially blacklisting bad reviewers cracks me up. It makes me think of having a friend who says "ZOMG! If you don't come over to my house and play basketball with me tomorrow, I'll never call you again! Our friendship is OVER!"

Mr. Duck bought my copy of Borderlands for me. I guess I have him to thank for making me look like a goddamn fucking moron in front of all my Steam Pals.
Thanks alot, you generous bastard.
Shut up and get over to Steam to play, bitch.

There's definitely some bandwagon jumping, and I think some political correctness behind these reviews.
But was there really any doubt this game was going to get panned no matter how good it turned out. DNF has been the butt of jokes for a decade. Like with Daikatana, I can just imagine all the reviewers frothing at the mouth just waiting to trash it.
The extra-negative reviews are actually adding to the attraction for me. Maybe it's like rubbernecking and I'm curious to see how bad it really is, or maybe I'm just sick of modern gaming trends and want to vote against the industry with my wallet, or maybe I haven't completely outgrown low brow humor and CGI lesbians. But either way, I want to give this a try. Unfortunately, I'm on travel for the next month and my laptop can't handle this game. :(

Fuck game reviewers. That was a good time.
Also - the Duke Burger level was fucking brilliant.

No no. This is nowhere near as bad as Daikatana. I don't think you've ever played Daikatana.

One day I sat down and played Halo for the first time. I played it for a couple hours before giving up on it.
That same day I played Daikatana for 15 minutes. (then it crashed)
I liked Daikatana more.

Y'know, in hindsight, I should've been able to tell that you would one day set up a Tumblr account

Be gentle, now. Duke was finished in my living room.
Hopefully this won't deter you from dropping by for another visit Raen.
I don't think anyone here truly realizes the herculean effort you and your team pulled off to get this long in development project out the door.
Congrats.

Correct!
The level of reviewer bashing seems about the same though.

Hahahaha, Daikatana; I'd forgotten about that. Trust you feckers to remind me :D
