I was going to get more specific and say that End of Ages was the worst shooter in the Myst series on account of those freaky Bahro and the fish-chicken things, but then I figured Myst was actually worse as there weren't even any enemies to not be able to shoot at. At least there was a live Wahrk and some plesiosaur things in Riven.

Try "Warhammer 40000: Fire Warrior" sometime if you want to witness some true FPS awfulness.
On the other hand, it's got DNF beat hands-down because it was actually released.

Well, normally I'd give a game like Extreme PaintBrawl a vote for worst shooter ever. But I would rather pay $50 for a game like Extreme PaintBrawl right now instead of wasting even $0.01 on the worst game in my book...
