Whilst the new lighting is very cool, it isn't quite what I expected. Most lights still don't cast dynamic shadows. I was hoping to see scenes where light emits from above a fan and the strands of light pass through the blades as they turn. I also hoped to see the light from a small compartment spill out as the door is opened. This would be cool for those small compartments in episode 2.

At this point i just want the damn game to come out.
Theirs alot worse devs that could be working on it. All they have to do is finish what 3drealms was working on and we should have a winner. From what i know they were like over 90% finished with it when they were shut down. I hope they give them some credit on the box or manual though. I feel bad for 3d realms if they are completely shut out from credit for it.

I don't feel bad for 3D realms, if they did their job right we'd be talking about DNF like it had dated graphcis and how it has aged well and all that. And we'd be either anticipating it's sequel or playing it by now.

It's exciting that gearbox may be picking this up. But I wish that whatever was blocking them from finishing Colonail Marines would get out of the way, That was the Gem of Last/This year that I really wanted to play from them. But i suppose DNF would make the publisher a lot more money if it were released.
