On topic, the release video is pretty funny... I've never played a Duke game when it's been contemporary... if my machine with an older card can run it I may give it a whirl.

Dead Simple was great in both single and multiplayer. Of the original Doom 2 maps for multiplayer it was one of the better ones because it wasn't possible to spawn half a map away from everyone else and get 'lost' trying to find your way to any combat. It's simplicity made it all the more frantic.

Dead Simple was a perfect example of how not to do a deathmatch map. It wasn't very fun on singleplayer either.

This was one of the things I really liked about N64 version. My buddy and I would co-op the shit out of DN3d, and it always seemed smoother on the N64 and it's controller. That all said, I hope they avoid the console systems. Duke should stay on the PC this time. A console port might "dumb down" the game and ruin its reputation even further, and I'm kinda hoping this doesn't turn out to be another Daikatana.

What the fuck are you on about? Eva's bawwing about it started the whole conversation. It's wonderful how I can't say anything, including declaring the sky is blue, without some chucklefuck calling me names because OMG HOWDAREU.
