Duke should stay on the PC this time. A console port might "dumb down" the game and ruin its reputation
... yeah that's a valid concern.

Where have you been? With the exception of Manhatten Project, the last few Duke games have been console *exclusive*. We kept telling 3DRealms to just give us what we wanted, but they kept taking Duke in the whole Tomb Raider direction. I won't deny that "Duke Nukem: Time to Kill" was fun for a wile, but it pails in comparison to what a PC duke game could have been on the Quake engine, with Online play and all.
As a PC gamer, there is absolutely no way any large company would release a PC-exclusive game these days. It isn't where the money is anymore. All we can hope for is that this game doesn't suffer too much in terms of quality while being squeezed into a pathetic half-gig of RAM.
They should concentrate on making high resolution assets. Then they can use the following command to port to consoles: $imagemagick --resize 400x300 *.tga

Those wily console dukes and their puny pails of comparison shall be expeditiously expunged in overwrought textual overtures and lopsided Linux shell commands!

Are you saying you're to blame for this situation?
lost_soul on 27/1/2011 at 23:01
I don't follow. Care to explain?

He doesn't need to. Re-read what you wrote. And hire a proofreader once you're done.
