I've been following Jimquisition with mild interest from a medium distance so far, but (
http://www.destructoid.com/the-jimquisition-too-cool-to-be-cool-202366.phtml) newest episode raises a good point. Read: something I agree with. And I'm not talking about Sonic. What kind of a retard you have to be to come up with a
supersonic hedgehog anyway? What next, plumbers shooting fireballs at mushr- ooooohhhhhh

What kind of retard do you have to be to keep posting when nobody likes you and a few people want to see you hit by a car?

I simply know all the people who think that are idiots so their opinion doesn't matter anyway.

The whole post-modern, winking-at-the-audience, hipster ironic thing has been so over-played during the last decade or so. It's about as tired as Sterling's opinion of these '90s relics.
Duke Nukem coming back after a 15 year absence and being the same as he ever was is a breath of fresh air, IMO. Especially in the face of the current core game climate where being deadly serious, grim dark has been all the rage. IF he had been run into the ground as Sonic has, then my opinion would be different.

I think it's time to replay DN3D.

Yeah, the CHARACTER doesn't seem to have changed at all between the two games.

*Raises hand* :)
I think the Duke character was sort of mis-managed. We had the one great game for the PC which drew everyone in, but the others like LoTB, TTK, and ZH never really got as much attention. They started to take Duke in the Tomb Raider direction, which I never cared for.

(
http://www.gearboxity.com/content/view/650/36/) First Access Club members get the first MP map pack for free.
Premium map packs are shitty since they divide playerbases, but in this case meh, I won't be getting Duke for the MP.

Since I bought the Borderlands GOTY edition I am a First Access member. Can't say I'm too interested in any MP map packs though. Will most likely be picking up DNF a few months after release, once the price has dropped. But I am looking forward to the First Access Club-only demo that is due to be released tomorrow. Will report back with impressions once I've played it.
