This being TTLG, where we all hold forth about games that haven't been released yet let alone actually played with/through, I think you're in a pretty good situation to lay down a summary judgement, really.

Oh, I see where this is going.
No, the game does not contain chakats, I'm afraid.

Damn it. :(

There is still hope - any watermelons?

Have completed the demo now with the 'Legend' chick (can switch between Spearazon and Fiery Floating Chick modes) and... it's not very good.
Twitchy camera, limited interaction with NPCs, mostly linear paths to walk along and pretty boring combat. Admittedly, it might be better on consoles with a control pad; certainly seems designed with that in mind. Don't know whether that's par for the course for Dungeon Siege games (only played the demo for 1 ages ago), but it didn't seem particularly exciting.
I'll grant that the story seems to have some potential, but whether that's enough, I don't know. :erg:

What did cameras ever do to Obsidian? I'm thinking someone's mom must have been killed by one or something, given their aversion to them.
I'm fairly underwhelmed, but I haven't played through the demo yet. I was expecting this to be the Obsidian game I'm least likely to give a fuck about, since I don't really give a fuck about Dungeon Siege in general, but so far I'm not having fun whatsoever. I don't really mind the glitchy ass camera in NWN2 because that's a different sort of game, but in a mindless point-and-clickathon it needs to be unobtrusive. Also not a really big fan of the minimal interface, sometimes it's nice to be able to click on things to access things. I'm thinking I'll pass on this and wait for Torchlight II/Grim Dawn for my hack and slash needs.

That's like that other game, what was it called... something like... siege? Dungeon Siege?

The combat is great. You just have to play with a gamepad. It's really essential.

Yeah, I'm going to try through it again tonight with my 360 controller and see if the camera is less of a little bitch.
The menus seem really bloated when you're running higher resolutions, but other than that, I like it for the most part.

I think it's decent as well ... and very chatty :)
see of flame + spin kick = win. (or whatever it is called)
menue/hud is not good.
