once you get your first powersphere (after tutorial) I found out that you can "control" the empowered autoattack with the spear. It's 2-stage: she will do a whirlwind thingy with the spear and then you have a 1sec delay where you can target any enemy near you that is still standing and strategically more important and the last blow will land on him. It's usually the most powerful and a autocrit. Also, always have a spare-weapon with high doom-value for monster bosses.

I think I'm missing something with the empowered attacks. I have two of the power orb thingies charged and both skills (spinkick and spear throw) "charged" as well (I've used them enough that is). Shouldn't I be able to just push right trigger and the button corresponding to the skill? All I can do is that spin attack using the normal attack button.
The game's surprisingly fun so far. The interface is a bit cumbersome, but the fights are pretty engaging and shiny. I hope there'll be some more enemy variety later on though.
Oh, and steer clear if you don't have a gamepad. Mouse + keyboard is pure torture.

But the game? I played the demo, and...eh. I'm not feeling it. It's like Obsidian decided to simplify a genre that was already pretty well simplified to begin with, then took out any and all exploration just to make it that much more straightforward. The end result is basically Contra with loot, but without the fun.

not only that.
the bossfight - or should I say: THE 2 DOZEN bossfights at the end - are only doable via extreme kiting. the last boss shoots 6 instakill homingmissles at you (besides henchmen) so all you do all the time is dodge/align camera - ooooh, surrounded by 12 guys - dodge/align camera ......now and then you can land a shot but forget about setting up buffs/debuffs or using skillshots. NO TIME. Insanely stupid autoattack-endfights. Also when you see the last boss: WOW greets you. I thought, OK, now the game wants to be a comedy/satire. There are no potions and no way via stats/equipment to get an advantage where you can say, stand around 2 seconds to setup some attack. No, basically you run around and let the AI guy do everything since everybody aggros on you. Only thing you have to do is revive since the AI does not move out of boss AOEs.
I really forgot how much I hate that aspect about Dia.ahem..Torchw..Dungeon Siege III

Just came out in NA today. Playing it with the mouse/keys and it's great, but it's Obsi so haters gonna hate I guess.
