Few weeks back I obtained DX and realized that I am unable to play the training, because everytime it loades, whole games crashes to desktop with "Assertion failed" error message. This same thing happens after the end of the firs mission, when you have to report to UNATCO head at Liberty Island. So I am able to play only the first mission. Changing video settings in any way doesn't help.
I must admit, my machine is not the last and the best (PII Intel 400, 128 RAM, 3dfx Banshee), but still, I think it should work. In readme file is a list of videocards on which was DX succesfully tested, but Banshee is not there. Do you think this will be the matter? My drivers are up-to-date.

I should recommend downloading the latest patch (sorry, don't have a link handy). I seem to remember that this transition problem was fixed by one of the early patches.

It's not the Banshee, I've played the game on one before. The card is old as hell, and is probably wearing out, but you'd notice this elsewhere too...
Try this: Copy every folder (not the DirectX one), one at at time, off the CD to your Deus Ex folder. Overwrite everything that askes.
Try that and get back to us.

If you try this method, remember to change the file's property from read-only to not. Copying files from CD directly will cause the files to stay read-only, it is because they are in the CD.
