Your actions today against the MultiPLayer part of the this games community shows extreme immaturity. To ban us all becasue you dont like the multiplayer aspect of the game is absurd. Ignoring our questions was a sign that you are worthless. What you have earned your self is a disrespect that you will regret i can assure you. Your attitude of "oh i hate MP so i hate the DXMP players" is lauagble and babyish. DaveH and Kaspiritis or whatever your name is, you 2 are a joke.

I think if you read the (
http://www.deus-ex.org/deusex/ISA_Chat.txt) logs you will see that what we said was nothing in comparison to what was said to us. I'd like to know what exactly warranted my getting banned because I think it is pure BS. I showed up, i listened to what was said, when the channel opened up I attempted to keep the question asking slow so that some of them could be answered. One of my friends gets banned for a BS reason because he responded to insults, I respond to that and I get banned. Great job guys, great job.
DaveH, Kaspiritis, Thwark, thank you very much for excluding this part of ISAs creation. Your actions were not only biased but they showed complete incompetence. You allowed anybody and everybody to insult our community, insult us individually, and yet you did not hesitate to boot us when we responded. Again, I thank you.

Yea i was told i was banned for name changes, which i di once, yet look at the logs and count the dozens of people who did it throughout. Godamn babies.

Heh - don't worry about it dudes. After having been kicked out of #Thief at least six times, I'm now officially banned. I don't expect I'll ever be allowed back in. I usually just get the logs from (less anal) individuals in #dromed.:thumb:
ICEBreaker on 16/3/2002 at 08:50
Hi, can you guys tell me what you guys are talking about? Sorry, I am just a little confused. Thanks.
TonyMontana on 16/3/2002 at 09:19
We are talking about the moron moderators at #thief who have an unexplained hatred for the DXMP community, probably cause they tried it and sucked at it, and ran back to SP to watch the 4th ending for the 50th time and get their willies off. "Oh Warren just came in eating pizza", i bet the nerd alert meter was off the charts with boners when BMoney announced that.
sailoreagle on 16/3/2002 at 09:50
If you ask me, you are a bunch of whining kids.
No, I wasn't in there, but yes, I saw the log, and you had it coming.
And before you say anything, I haven't even ever touched DeusEx SP or MP, so :p
Nethawk on 16/3/2002 at 14:30
Sailor, IMO you're missing out girl - you HAVE to play this game. It's one of the absolute best story driven games out there.
sailoreagle on 16/3/2002 at 17:08
Perhaps I will, if I can manage to spare enough money to buy it. :) (That, or convince my brother to buy it. Heh heh. :ebil: )

Yesterday, I sent a mail to Bill Money regarding co-op in DX2. Read for yourself:

Subject: Deus Ex Feedback
Hi there!
I attended the recent IRC chat on irc.starchat.net#thief and was very happy
to hear that all of you are working on Deus Ex 2 so hard. :-)
But one thing surprised me a bit. One of the ISA guys said:
> I'd like to answer a question about DXMP. We are really focused on
> DX2 right now and just don't have the manpower to make additions to
> DXMP. I know this isn't the answer many of you want to hear, but
> unfortunately we are under the gun to deliver DX2.
Unfortunately, "DXMP" (Deus Ex MultiPlayer) has become sort of a synonym for
a team deatchmatch style game only. What I have always missed with Deus Ex 1
is a cooperative multiplayer mode, like System Shock 2 has. I think that,
like with System Shock 2, it wouldn't be necessary to adapt the story (and
levels) to the coop mode, just have two or more identical protagonists.
I'm telling you this because I have played SS2 about 2 times in singleplayer
mode, but about 10 times with friends in coop mode -- and it was awesome
everytime! Once, I tried to play Deus Ex 1 with a friend in some sort of
semi-coop mode (i.e. just playing it in parallel), but it just wasn't the
same, of course...
I know that implementing coop in DX2 takes some resources on your side, but
much less than implementing team deathmatch, and, as far as I can see, many,
many fans would appreciate it just as well, if not better. Just have a look
at some of the entries of the "Multi-Player in Deus Ex 2" petition [1]. Even
a deferred delivery of coop play through a patch would be great (see SS2),
if Eidos really breathes down your necks so hard (which would be a shame in
itself).
In any case, I'd really appreciate a short reply to this mail. :-)
Greetings from a reliant Deus Ex fan,
Julian Mehnle.

We've investigated the time it would take to implement new modes of
multi-player and we just don't have the bandwidth here to do it. In today's
economy there is very little room for us to work on non-revenue generating
products (an unfortunate fact of being a publisher owned studio).
So there we have it... no hope for delivery... uhm... :(
