A thread for the games being showcased at E3 that noone loved enough to make separate threads for, but which we still might want to comment on.

Looks as cool as non-gameplay AC trailers always look, and features the fantastic track "Iron" by Woodkid.
(

God game. Looks nice.
(

This could be good eh?
(

I liked the original very much but this just looks like the developers are trying to get some extra mileage out of the same art-resources that were used for the first installment. :erg:
(
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tNjuv5Y_oA8) Trackmania 2
Games like Tricky Truck and Jet Car Stunts(iOS) have copied the gameplay of Trackmania and added new elements on top of it to great effect. I was kinda hoping TM2 would copy some of the elements those games introduced(more physics-puzzles in the platforming levels, greater aerial-controll) but judging from this trailer they haven't really done anything to the formula. Just updated the graphics. Then again just because they're not showing off any new gameplay elements in the trailer doesn't mean there aren't any. I'm hoping for the best. Hoping they're not just resting on their laurels. PS and by laurels I mean butts.
(

Looks fun but there isn't enough creative swearing coming from Captain Haddock. If it was me developing the game I would've spent 90% of the budget writing code that created procedurally generated insults that would flow from the good Captain at any given moment.
(

Has a cool Portishead track in it and looks awesome but doesn't tell us much about how the game will actually play.
(

Seems to me that if you wanna build something quickly in Minecraft you'll really need a mouse, so you can quickly and precisely rotate and place out blocks where you want them. Playing it with a controller seems like it would be a pain in the ass. Doubtful about whether this'll catch on on the 360.

And the Wii Yoo and Yoo yoo

Well don't you just love it when things work out like that. :D

And the Wii Yoo and Yoo yoo
The Wii Yoo is one of the dumbest things I've ever seen.
Proves that Nintendo wasn't planning on revolutionizing anything with Wii, they just thought LETS MAKE GIMMICKS and got lucky.

I have to say I'm not impressed by the Wii-U. (Terrible name.) The controller looks like an iPad fucked a Wiimote.
I'm very, very skeptical of all this.

I hate the name for the WiiU, and I think the decision to not separate it from the Wii branding is going to hurt it's core adoption in the early running, which in turn will hurt it's continued core support. But at the same time, the stuff that (

It's biggest problem is going to be that it needs to come out in Q2 or Q3 of next year, not Holiday 2012, if they want to even slightly entertain the thought of getting people to hold off on buying Battlefield 3 (for example) on 360 or PS3 and pick it up for WiiU instead. If it's going to be a November-December release, then they can kiss a lot of the initial sales of those multiplatform core games goodbye.

With the wiiu hopefully they can explore further the awesome possibilities they tried on the gamecube with Windwaker and the gameboy.

What the fuck is Battlefield 3 now, a do or die game?
In 2012 there will be another CoD and that's all that matters.
