You DO know what 'FOR EXAMPLE' means, don't you Koki? Throw in Darksiders II, or Assassin's Creed, or Arkham City if you'd like.
And considering that the only Activision affiliated developer testimonial was a dude from Vicarious Visions, I'm not guessing Activision's got plans to put their A teams on Wii U development for launch titles.

Right, sorry. The BF3 hype over at Steam Forums rubs off on me, especially because of the fanboy reality distortion field around Bad Company 2.

The device will, at times, become the game's motion tracker, a device in the fiction of the Alien universe that can track the location of enemies and friendlies by their motion. Pitchford explained that players may be asked to sweep their controller around them, looking for approaching enemies, which will show up as blips on the display of the controller.

Nice idea for Aliens. Ingenious, really. But coming to the controller, isn't there going to a slight problem with the concept for single player, that being the fundamental disconnect between having two screens to pay attention to?

Worked for the DS. I guess this is just taking it to its logical extreme.

No one seemed to have a problem paying attention to the two screens on the DS. For menus and extra HUD elements, it'll do fine.
Personally, I think the WeeU and the tabletroller is a neat idea (terrible horrible damn name, though), specially after seeing how it can interact with what's going on on the big screen. My only concern is if 3rd parties will take advantage of it. I have the feeling that it'll end up like the Wii, where only Nintendo used their bright idea to its full advantage, while practically everyone else half assed it for cheap shovelware party games.
Just like the Wii, there's alot of potential for fun, neat things in the future. It's just getting developers to do fun and neat things with it that's the problem.

The difference is that the way that the original Wiimote worked it became necessary to tack on some half-assed waggle stuff, just because there weren't enough buttons for those functions on the wiimote+nunchuk setup. Combined with how underpowered the Wii is in comparison to the 360 and PS3, minigame shovelware was all it was really capable of.
Worst case scenario with the Wii U is that it'll get straight ports of 360 and PS3 games (maybe with lower res textures or a slightly worse framerate if rumours about the comparative power are true), with a few HUD elements shifted to the controller screen instead of the main screen (I imagine the stick buttons will end up on it, too, since Nintendo doesn't seem to see the point of having buttons under the analog sticks). So it'll still have good games, they just won't have good second screen usage, as opposed to games that were already bad being further hampered by shitty motion controls.
All of this of course pre-supposes that third party support will remain strong beyond what I predict will be a slightly rocky launch window.

I thought NFS The Run looked pretty good, although I think I'm still more sold on the Cannonball Run-esque potential than the gameplay they've shown so far.

So, THIS happened while I was there:
Inline Image:
http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3594/5816946395_380ef11415_b.jpgI was at the Squeenix booth watching people play DX:HR and looked to my left and was all 'Holy shit, that's Warren Spector!' A few seconds later David Anfossi and Jean-Francois Dugas walked out and started chatting with him.
And the WiiU's controller tablet thing isn't as awkward or heavy to hold as it appears. It's not 100% comfortable, but it's not like you're holding a giant pile of what the fuck like the oXbox Duke or even Controller S. And the WiiU version of Ghost Recon: Online was playable on the floor, but by the time I got through the line to the demos I was so fucking tired of standing that I dicked around with the scripted HD Zelda demo thing (which looked REALLY nice, there were some noticeable jaggies, but I couldn't tell if they were due to a 720p framebuffer being upscaled to a 1080p display, or vice versa. The lighting effects and the textures were pretty amazing though. Hopefully they won't pull a Wind Waker this gen.) and then left, but what I saw of it while I was in line looked pretty nice.
