Mirror's Edge level design is fine once you've played it through and maybe watched some videos, but it's hard on a first-time player who's a bit shaky on the controls anyway. Honestly a game like that shouldn't need "runner vision" and not only did they include it (and alt-look), but it isn't even sufficient. There are places that are just very difficult to figure out how to get through, or even where to go (alt-look is sporadically implemented and frequently unhelpful even when it is) - some of which involve being continuously shot at. And the difficulty curve is basically random past level 1.
I think including more racing segments would be good. Chasing other runners was one of the best parts for a first playthrough because they showed you exactly what to do. Maybe start the game where you have to perform well on a bunch of races through the city to reach the main story segments - set in different routes through the same places, so you kind of know your way around already.

Yeah, but who wants to buy a Wii U?

I have one. I'm hooked on Mario Kart 8 right now. It might be my favorite Mario Kart.

Splatoon looked really fun. Nintendo's show succeeded in making me consider getting a WiiU (not really though).

All a console needs is one or two games that have significant pull to kickstart a success that wasn't there before. An open-world Zelda could be that.

Unfortunately Zelda won't be out until next year, but there are some good games out already and more coming this year. It's definitely a slow start, but the quality of the games has been top-notch so far (I'd expect no less from Nintendo).

Cuphead, Mirror's Edge 2, and Alien Isolation need to come out right now. And Arkham Knight.
Also, I was not expecting to give two shits about Dead Island 2 but man...it's being made by Yager? And that trailer is awesome. Please tell me the game looks like that, or those are at least in-game assets.
Edit: And Far Cry 4. Jesus christ I haven't even played 3/Blood Dragon yet.

Some great gameplays this year: Unity, Rainbow Six, The Division, Far Cry 4.
Unfortunately, we could not see much of The Witcher so far (although Novigrad looks great).
I am rather disappointed with Mass Effect, Star Wars, Mirror's Edge presentations/announcements (no gameplay).
Dragon Age, Destiny and Batmobil... so far meh.
Inside... Hmm... Interesting:

I like the mood of that a lot. Kind of reminds of Deadlight, with fewer zombies.
