I guess you could call "acknowledging that browser-based games will work in linux" as an interest in linux.

yeah i guess someone should be interested in linux, so the rest of us don't have to

Ummm, they just took games that already worked on linux and advertised them on a linux app service. That's hardly supporting or looking into linux, just basic marketing.

Given the the average Linux user would rather run over hot coals than give EA any cash, I suspect this won't go any further either..

I found this article pretty funny too....

Will I wake up on Mars tomorrow? hahaha
Seriously, *if* this whole Linux game thing begins to show even slight bits of progress, all Microsoft has to do to stop it is buy NVidia. That would single-handedly derail and stop it completely, reason being that no one else can produce decent video drivers for Linux.
That's a pretty good idea actually.

Publishers barely see the point in making games for Windows.

It's nice to see Linux getting some love, but from EA?
Not sure if gusta.
Jason Moyer on 30/5/2012 at 02:55
Yeah, a publisher whose recent record includes publishing lots of titles by independent studios and encouraging their in-house studios to work on original games is fucking evil, I get it. Sure wouldn't want them slapping a "runs on linux" sticker on some shitty javascript and calling it a day.
At least they aren't releasing multi-platform shit in Python or whatever shitty scripting language everyone in linux land is beating off over this week.

They just need to release their own distro: leanux.
