Still blurry for me when you move the camera around.

Read the pinned TWEAK GUIDE on how to disable motion blur.

OK - the "Miscellaneous Textures" 'pack' has now been updated.
Please uninstall my previous version first, if you have it installed.
The uninstall file will be in your Thief - DS root folder.
-This updated release will let you choose what changes to make, and will only apply those changes.
Likewise, the
uninstaller will "remember" what you chose to install, so that it won't remove other people's versions of the textures that this release contains when you uninstall this release *phew - hard to explain*.
-Sounds obvious enough, but it took me a long time to figure out how to achieve it.
I have also updated the Comparisons page, which shows a few of the changes.
It should be safe to install the file several consecutive times, in case you for instance first choose to install only one file, but then later regret it and would like to install the other(s). I would recommend thinking the choice through beforehand instead though.
You will
not be able to choose what features to
uninstall at any given time. The uninstaller will just automatically remove the textures you chose to install. I only thought of that as I wrote this post, so that feature will probably be added for the next update.
All my installers will now turn up in
Add/Remove Programs as separate entries. There was a flaw in my uninstallers previously that would cause only the latest installed texture files to turn up there.
For those previous uninstallers, you should use the uninstaller directly from the Thief - DS root folder instead.
But again - for the texture installers now available for download, it has been fixed.

Id prefer to have the mask model cover the mouth tho :)
Yes, I thought about that, and it would probably look OK in still images, but I'm a bit worried that it would look bad when he speaks. I haven't actually gotten around to play the game much(!), so I don't know how often you see Garrett's face as he talks, but if you do, a mask that covers his mouth would look weird when he talks, as it would look like the mask was glued to his lips.

For taff's sake, man, rectify this! We all love your work, but we wouldn't stand in the way of your basic right to play the game! :thumb:

First off, just let me say: Kudos man, your textures rock! :D : :thumb:
I have been enjoying your excellent work for almost as long as I've been playing T:DS, but I made one very minor observation about the loot glint:
In St. Edgars, there is a Gold Pitcher located on a barrel in the small room above the Barracks, that has 0 glint even up close...
I think this may actually be a minor bug in the game itself, so if anyone else has noticed this without the texture pack installed, feel free to correct me. I haven't checked yet.
Also, I can't wait to see what you can do with the NPCs!
No, rush though. Do as Rogue Wolf says! It's good for you...

For taff's sake, John! Take a break from your awesome re-texturing and play the darn game! Haha...seriously. Hey! Maybe you'll get some inspiration on what else to change when you come across it while playing? We love your work, but take some time off to play the game. :laff:

I love your work, John! Excellently done! If only you could have been on the texture-design team in ISA....
One complaint, though; your custom Bink background movie is nice, BUT the thief there doesn't really look like Garret. Maybe change the texture and/or add some more shadow or something.
By the way, why did ION add a scar to Garret's robotic eye all of a sudden? I never noticed it in any of their concept art/videos in the previous Thief games. I thought Victoria plucked it out pretty clean.

It's actually taken from a screen shot(with default textures), so it definitely
is Garrett(as he looks in Thief: DS).

While I made the new glint, I noticed that it's placed differently for different objects. For instance, on the candle stick holders(probably an easier word available...), it's placed rather high, so the whole glint is very visible. At first I tailored it to that, but then I came across a cup, and saw that my glint then wouldn't be visible, because it was placed at the bottom of the cup. And so I had to make it a little larger.
-So it could be that 'my' glint won't be visible on larger loot objects later in the game because it is then placed in a position on/in the object where only the original loot glint would be visible.

I was curious, because his skin seemed unnaturally lacking of detail, and I can't really see his robotic eye.
