Eat more smaller meals through the day - uuh I think I over did it... - by Yakoob

So what do you get when you combine the ability to eat at any time and quantity you desire with the "eat less more often" mantra? Apparently a complete fuckup :|
Working from home, I started making smaller meals and eating like 4-5 times a day. I also picked up on snacking/coffee/tea (mostly healthily) inbetween as well. So I end up eating increasingly more frequently in smaller portions over the past three months. This weekend I spent 3 days going back to my old campus, hanging out with friends, eating at the school cafeteria open only 3 times a day, basically falling back into the "normal" life routine. And I realized, I simply cant do it!
I now need to eat ALL THE GODDAMN TIME. I'd have a big breakfast with my friends, everyone is stuffed... three hours later I am hungry again. It doesn't even matter how much or what I eat - nutritiously-vapid bowl of cereal, fatty all-american turkey with stuffing and potatoes, or protein-full egg omlette + whole wheat bread, I will be starving 3 hours later all the same.
Secondly, I never get "stuffed." I do get "satisfied" and fall into major food coma if I eat too much, but Im never "stuffed." We went to the Korean place where I inhaled probably a whole day's worth of calories and fat in a form of a huge plate of BBQ pork, tofu-egg soup, veggies and bowls of potato, rice, etc. side dishes. I expected to be barely able to walk but nope! I was completely fine. And again, three hours later...
It's honestly ridiculous, especially when I compare to my friends or to when I was student at my campus - eating normal or big meals 3-4 times a day and never worrying about it again until the next one. It's actually gotten to a point where it kinda impacts my productivity; I cant just eat lunch with my friends and hang out for several hours after, or even work my job for a reasonable period of time without the hunger pangs kicking in halfway through. And you know the "dont eat 3 hours before sleep" thing? Yea, either I latenight snack or I go to sleep starving...
Now the question is, is it just all mental thing that I screwed myself into and need to get out of the pattern ASAP? Or is my metabolism really that good and I should take it as an open invitation to just eat whatever the hell I want whenever I want cause my body can process it?
(as a side note, I am not overweight (tho I used to be) at 134lbs 5'5''. My life is uber-sedentary with both my job/hobbies involving sitting at the comp, which is why I make it a point to go on a (fairly intense) 45min bike ride some 3-5 times a week, and maybe do some lifting once or twice a week (tho I haven't seen much muscle or strength increase except my legs) ).
Thoughts?

Fascinating.

What a coincidence, Koki has to shit on something every 3 hours

Yakoob, you've only been off the "eat all the time" diet for three days? If you'd been doing it for a long time I can imagine that it'd take a bit longer than that to wean yourself off it.
Also, Shug, lol.

I honestly had no idea what to expect making this thread and kind of just posted it on a whim. But I am aumsed by the replies so far. Koki seems like my parallel-universe Polish doppelganger :p

Well it's not so much "off" as I wasn't really trying to switch it; rather, returning to a normal daily routine for those three days made me realize just how out of whack my eating pattern has become (I didn't think much of it until now). And hey, if this means my metabolism is actually rapid enough I can eat all the time and just burn it off, I don't think I'd be totally opposed to that haha :P

oi that's the funny thing, I'm actually not. Every time I go down to visit my friends they keep saying I am looking increasingly skinnier (but my weight actually stays fairly consistent). Ha, maybe I should really take it as a sign to just start shoveling food down whenever I want.
oh god i can see myself turning into some bizarre science self-experiment :p
