Eidos Montreal... so, what are their merits? - by SLIEZER

Hello,
I've been looking around for Eidos montreal games, but I havn't found any (mainly because I don't play any eidos games except hitman and thief). So what does this studio have on their honor list? What can we expect from them?

They have no released games, just Deus Ex 3 and Thief 4 in production. Hence many people's wariness and skepticism.

'Eidos Montreal' is a new Studio from Eidos that hasn't put out any games yet. Deus Ex 3 and Thief 4 will define who they are. From (
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eidos_Montreal) Here:
Quote:
Eidos announced on 15 February 2007 that they will open a new studio in Montreal, Quebec, Canada responsible for "new undisclosed next-generation projects''.
We'll have to wait and see.

Yes, but none of them are from Eidos

Sorry; for some reason my caffeine-deprived brain wasn't making the distinction. :o

I think it would be better to look at what are the merits of the key employees.
SneakyJack on 14/5/2009 at 17:22
Really looking hard for reasons not to believe in them now arent we? :laff:

For me it's vice versa. I think, after reading through most of the threads here in the T4 forum, we're all more than a little apprehensive about what EM is gonna do with the game and we're kind of looking for some reassurance.
I, for one, am going to go play one of the recently released T2 FMs now before my head explodes; always makes me feel better. ;)

I can understand the apprehension, I think most Thief fans feel at least a little burned by TDS. Myself, I can't make any judgements at all until we at least get some screenshots at a minimum, or some gameplay footage. See you in a year or so! ;)
