After long travels and travails, I have found my way to an indoor submarine base containing two submarines, one in a dry dock. The room has a typical large green door on the back wall that I cannot open. The subs have entry doors that click when I frob them, but I cannot open those doors either.[SPOILER]I went up an adjacent hallway to a room with lava pouring down. Went to the level below and flipped a pedestal switch. Several times just to make sure (an odd number of flips). I cannot see what this lava switch has done, and I have been all through the mission looking.[/SPOILER]What do I do next? Help please.:)

[SPOILER]a small waterfall? If it's the area I'm thinking of hop into that water and see if it leads you anywhere.[/SPOILER]

I can't remember too well what the layout looked like and what you're supposed to do next. I thought perhaps that one switch would've done it for you. If I remember later I'll post it.

Thanks once again.:) I did go in there once before, but I found no passage. Either I didn't look carefully enough, or the switch was one of those two-flip deals. I went back later and flipped the switch again. So now I am on to Transiency.

For those "trapped" in the small waterway in the Submarine Base mission, you can work your way back upstream and out. I recall working out a technique in Lost City that helped Ghost the spiders at the beginning. You've got to get down to the bottom of the water. While on the bottom, angle your view downward and forward, you can move to the ladder and out. Along the surface you cannot. I was able to get down to the bottom while against the wall furthest from the ladder.

I think I'm stuck in Mission #4. I'm thoroughly confused, that's for sure. I don't know why I find this one so easy to get lost in!:weird: Anyway, I've read the spoilers above found my way into [SPOILER] the water in the area with the metal walkways and gotten into the hole in the wall. The section behind it has a damaged office in it and I flipped a switch on the wall that was up. Should I have flipped the other two up instead? Anyway, now what? I can't find anyplace else to go. I have a silver key picked from a guard that I haven't found a use for either. [/SPOILER]

I just have to share :) I'm in Mission 5, on expert, and I awoke the kitchen wench in the gray mansion. Being a servant, I can't blackjack her without killing her. However, she's a Mechanist in kitchen wench clothing! She's tirelessly chasing me around town, calling me "thieving toad!' and "leaf-eating villian!" futilely wacking at me with her maceless hands! I'm currently perched on the crates near the beginning, waiting for her to calm down so I can go back to finding ANY sort of key or clue on what to do next ;)

I had a one save from mission 4 (Submarine) and it was right before the broken office on expert mode.
[SPOILER]When I went back to load the game I forgot about the switches in the broken office and didn't flip them and was still able to proceed. I think my first time through I threw the right switch to match the others. I then went out of the office to the right and went through a small opening. Came to a waterfall and jumped up on the ladder which took me up to the area with guard and silver key. It sounds as if you have reached this point. After getting the silver key, I'm assuming you went down hallway beyond mechanical eye and came across a lava area, ladders down, and a switch? If you backtrack down hallway, silver key opens door to sub area and small waterfall. To proceed jump into waterfall. There should be an opening to swim down and the level ends.
