Thank you, Devorgilla! I had found that [SPOILER] ladder behind the waterfall before but had been unable to get onto it and assumed it was a way down from someplace else. After you told me I needed to go up it I went back and kept trying until I finally got up it. It was very difficult though and took me 6 or 7 tries before I could get on it. Strange! [/SPOILER]
edit: Done! I was SOOOO close to the end when I got stuck. I think I'll replay it though as I don't know where I was half the time. :)

I posted on the 19th (see page 6) still need help. Restarted Mission 4 just incase I had missed something and am now back at the same spot. Need to open the gate by the big EYE (camera) that goes into the other area.....help anybody....I flipped the lever down by the spider bot and I must have missed another switch or lever someplace.

[SPOILER]You need to go up the half ladder by the spiral stairs then up your vine then cross the pipe and go down by the spider bot and lava, the switch there will open the gate[/SPOILER] Please someone get to level 5, Transiency or something like it and I know what the red key does, I have known, I am stumped. At least someone said I dont need to go in the hole at the docks I have been struggeling with but what next ???I relly need to buy a luminated keyboard.I try to type in the dark by memory. The only way to play thief.
Also..has anyone been able to open the locked door in the bar, and nooo not the one with the secret switch. Also there is a room with a guard looking out a window and a door with no key with some stairs and in the castle like place there is a door< no key in back inside down a set of stairs approchable from either side. Come on..someone must know. I have been stuck for 2 days now. ARRRRRGHHH!!!!

Lightningline.....I do remember and thank you. It was one of those switches that I had to go back and hit it twice....now the gate is open. Thanks.:thumb:

You say you know what the red key does so I'm stumped as to why you can't progress. Have you used the red key on the door and gone through? Where exactly are you stuck so I can l see if I can help.
[SPOILER]FWIW, I had a difficult time the second time around trying to get inside that open grid gate. If I don't fiddle with the switches I can stand on the open gate and "stoop" but as soon as I activate all three switches I can't stoop anymore. Perhaps it was a fluke the one time I got in but there is nothing inside except two short underwater passages and a ladder going up to a grate that won't open. [/SPOILER]
I'm towards the end of Betrayal mission on expert and the previous mission, Virtue was, to me, the house from hell.

See my previous message. I seem to be stuck everyware.The red key only opens one door .3 to go. I am bumming bad. After the red key door then what.I cant find antrhing special about the area on the other side. What am I missing?? There is a gardenlike area after a small bridgr and a locked door..Hmmmm

Thank you for posting that, Lightningline! I came here to ask what to do next and saw your spoiler, which was exactly what I needed. There were still several doors I couldn't get into and I didn't find all the loot.

[Spoiler]Y'know I've been running around in this crazy huge mansion for the last hour or so. Tried killing the patrolling guards. Nah! That's not gonna happen. They cannot be surprised even in shadow. As soon as you raise your sword or blackjack they can see you and spook. Plus two overhead sword hits doesn't seem to bother them too much.
Anyhow, I'm working my way through all the many, many various rooms and just had the thought that I was glad for the first time playing this game that I didn't have any Rope or Vine arrows. Just more places to search. And there's already way too many places to search!
Guess what I just picked up in a chest? :-|[/Spoiler]
