Man this guy "JIS" dont like giving out keys worth a crap. I am in this huge moastly empty mansion and the only doors I could bash in turned out to be closets and I found a secret passageway by the bar room and have no key. I killed or Black Jacked evryone so far except some pepole on the other side of a fence. There is a room inbetween but of course "you guessed it" No Key and an unpickable lock. It seems the further into this mission pack I go the more they start going downhill. Not to mention we cant read anything. At least someone interprated the goals. Thankyou for that. Well I have ranted and raved enough. Back to the endless trek through this maze of rooms...:)found a secret passageway by the bar room and have no key
Does this mean you found a key? I've been everywhere - found:
the two locked wooden doors, and the locked panel at the back of a closet, all unpickable. I have the 1000 year old (or whatever) letter, but no other goals fulfilled. Got about 125 gold, need 75 more (playing on Expert). Also, outside gates are locked/unpickable.
Congrats on finishing it!
Cheers,

Melissa,
If you want a hint on where to find the key read below.....
There are a few courtyards you'll come across when wandering the house. When you come to one of them in particular (can't remember which one) make sure you look up.
"It" is a generic Japanese pronoun that in this case means "you." So it means return to where you came from. Why, you may ask, did that not get included in the final version of the objectives? I dunno. I suggested that, but my e-mail got lost in the translation.:)

I am playng Virtue in Expert. I have all the objectives except I am missing 15 of 200 loot. In this mission, Expert must find all the loot (200), much of which is coins standing on edge. Most items are worth only 5, so that is 30-40 loot items. Argh. Two more days. That's it. After that, it is CTRL-ALT-SHIFT-END. :)
In the meanwhile, I have killed or BJ'ed all the guards other than two downstairs guards who look like Darth Vader in white face. I know. I have been in their face a number of times. Those guys are tough. I managed to kill one of them with a BJ, but he damaged me so badly that I had to reload. Now I have one who is running away from me and needs just a couple more good whacks, but the other never breaks his patrol on tile floors, except to run after me, so it will be hard. I want to clear out all the menacing AI so I can look for the coins in peace.
I had to laugh about the "key of lowliness". This means that you need to stoop down low to use it.:)
I would not recommend playing this particular mission in Expert unless you really like hunting for coins.

Now all I need is 30 more look :p Considering almost all of it has been little coins, I dread having to comb through the entire mansion again, what with guards with steel plates for heads!
If anyone has a loot list for Expert, I'd be eternally grateful!
Cheers!

Query - if you're playing on Expert, how are you getting away with killing anybody, save the woman in the objective? I'd LOVE to get rid of those nasty guys!
Joining you in the loot hunt - I need 30 :)
EDIT:
Nevermind - *read* the objectives, Melissa :erm:
Cheers!

Mellissa,
Yeh. That's it. Just kill 'em or BJ 'em. Except for innocents. And those Darth Vader guys, which are tough to dispatch. They have steel in their heads, but they can be BJ'ed to death. I would guess 50 whacks with a BJ or maybe 20 with a sword.
I wish I had started making a loot list. If I had understood the challenge, I would have. If I find it all I could always play it again to make a list, but that will be a while.

Originally posted by Melissa Joining you in the loot hunt - I need 30 :) I'm up to 195 loot, myself. Just 5 to go, and I've scoured the mansion floor-by-floor, inch-by-inch. I might have to give up until a definitive loot-list is created.
A jeweled necklace can be found in one of the libraries on the third floor. It's on top of a tall bookcase, accessible via a ladder.
The coins ... oh, gods, the coins! Several are found in the courtyards: on the ground, on those steps leading downward, on the balcony area where the key is hidden ....
