btw...I'm at the cloud platform part of the level, and I do hope this is close to the end. I've performed very poorly on this FM and will return to it when/if a walkthrough is ever made available.

This thing just keeps going on and going on. And its getting jerkier to the point where its next to impossible to play. I'm now at the lava pool above the fire red burrick. Is it worth continuing? Am I close enough to the end? Right now its a tremendous effort trying to jump and balance myself on the iron fence surronding the lava pool. I assume this is the thing to do

Are you talking about the bedroom off the first courtyard with the guard? The
one with the wood ceiling and roof beam with the two cross braces? Is there
a key up on that beam anywhere? I've examined every inch of it, or so it
seems. I know there has to be a key or something up there but I haven't
been able to see it.

Past the open area with the cistern is another open area. On the right is a door leading to a guard. On the left is a door leading upstairs. Upstairs, past the room with the guard is another room containing the balcony, an individual, and something you need to do [SPOILER]Frob the plant thingy in the corner, opening a floor panel[/SPOILER]
But I think the door leading upstairs from outside is locked and I can't remember where the key is or if it opens elsewhere
