Endings... - by thiefguy122313

I have noticed that people talk about the fact that there is a variety of different endings to Deus Ex. This is an interesting concept. However how does this work exactly? Are there certain critical junctures in the game which make it plainly obvious from were you get to choose what happens or is it more discrete, where I may not notice the impacts of certain choices which I saw as minor (such as allowing that JoJo punk to kill the owner of the Hilton in Hell's Kitchen). I also heard the name Illuminati mentioned, which from what I heard are a Satanist group started by an Italian man. Is there any religious prophecy in the game, namely the Christian concept of one-world government and the Anti-Christ. Is the name of God mentioned in the game, outside of all of the swearing that the NPCs do? I would also like to note that I don't care about spoilers so spoil away.

It depends on what you do, how you end the game. You can choose the ending you want, it doesn't depend on the decisions you made before at all.

Probably the only one heard of the word "God" used in a way that offends religious people was when the NSF "terrorists" say "Goddamn!" when you take down 50% of their health and they run away.
Religious prophecy? The only part of religion I heard of was The Netchurch newspaper ad in the room where two people drugged their brains out in the `Ton hotel.
