kind of a long post...
well I guess the monsters in the first Painkiller game really had it coming. the necrogiant is just awesome to take down. nothing like a huge graveyard with an undead giant in it.
also, some mobs in Jericho were just, augh!!! killthemkillthemkillthem!!!
then there's good old doom 2, my favourite of the oldschool ones actually. wielding a double barrel shotgun was just for the heck of making enemies explode in piles of flesh. (who doesn't like blowing the crap out of a demon?)
like someone else said the Serious Sam headless goons are great... to blow up (again and again... wave after wave). I'm talking about the first game. I'm not sure if they appear in Serious Sam 2, I actually quit the game after 3 minutes of gameplay seeing as how it turned into something more to the lines of "Not so Serious Sam".
no way of keeping out some of the bastards in TES:Oblivion (and Morrowind I think... not sure, haven't played it for a really long time now), like the guys that think they're tough because of an enchated sword or something. haha, wait until you see my army of undead... well... one zombie... but a mean one!!!
I think I can also mention Assassin's Creed guards and targets. some of them just beg for a knife in the throath; and the annoying chatter they have sometimes.
no need to mention F.E.A.R.... the ragdoll and dying animations are just to good not to be seen whenever possible methinks...
I can also distinctly remember how utter hate one could build on the bad guys from the SWAT series. seriously sme of them are just... wtf-ish... they give one shot headshots while turning 180 at you, they don't comply even if they don't have a chance of getting away and they like to make your life miserable by killing hostages. I'd kill every last one of them... but the cop badge says I can't... oh well... pepper spray in the eyes losers!!!

Big ennemies that die in a split second...I'm thinking about diablo 2's yetis and cursed ones, well anything big, howling and that can be chopped like small wood in massive numbers and huge splatters of gore...
Also, thinking about Fallout 2 bandits, the ones that bully you so hard at the beginning of the game, and that you end up cutting in half with the laser gatling levels later.
Oh and Lynette at Vault City.

Dear lord, yes. I loved killing Lynette! I remember this one time, I had had a rather crappy day, and I went, got my hacked save and blew that whore's head off with a .44 Magnum speed-loader. After that, though, I went on a killing spree and wiped out half the wasteland; got the berserker and childkiller, along with the Psycho Addict titles. I loved blasting kids with rockets, the little buggers exploded, it was beautiful! :ebil:

One of the oldest victims of mine is the basilisk in
Hack. You have to wear a blindfold to kill it (I think), and if you have gloves as well, you can pick up the body and use it as a weapon that almost instantly stones many of your enemies.
The apemen in
Thief. First, they taunt me, then I'll have my revenge - be it a number of strikes with the sword, be it a slow death by putting the knocked-out hairy bastard into a water basin:ebil: ... "Ha, doesn't hurt!" - "Does not hurt much!" - (grunts) (growls) (dies)
