How dem doin in NC? Nobody too wet I hope. Keep us poasted you northeasters, there is too much on Google for to sift through!
For instance, some context from TTLGNYC: are you guys serious? Evacuation? I don't know the topographic but I do know you all have precious tunnels etc. Are you guys expecting Hazel again?
Nest! Who is between? How do they? What things? Is't mere rain, or do the winds crack their arsecheeks? We are inspired by your tales of bravery and resilience in the face a what seems to be shaping up to be a rather crappy year, no?
Safety first! Danger a very close second!

What makes me really sad is that by most accounts this is the new normal thanks to our old NOT REAL friend global warming. There's a small part of me that hopes that this will wake some people up to the need to address climate change, but A. I know that's not how folks really think, and B. Even if it did it would be a long and slow process and we can't undo the shit that's causing these hurricanes, AFAIK.
On a slightly more tasteful note, I'd like to ask everyone to stay safe! I know the hurricane is going right over my college :(

i can't think of any place that needs rain more than cincinnati and fucking east coast liberals are keeping it to themselves :(

Cincinnati? Really? I doubt it, Texas has a severe drought on its hands. We've had record heat of 100+ temps all summer, 62 days and counting. My lawn, what lawn, people are struggling to maintain their tree's, you want shade, keep your tree's alive. Its a fucking bitch here, and I hate it. What I wouldn't give for a bit of rain.
Stay safe! I read that NY is quiet? That is hard to fathom.

If this hurricane gets any worse, I'm going to need sunscreen.

It certainly didn't live up to all the hype, by all accounts in the media this was supposed to be the hurricane of the century. How they came up with that conclusion when it was a category 1, well its the melodramatic media I suppose. If this was a movie that was hyped this much I'd be asking for my money back.
