Maybe Stephen Russell didn't want to touch something as awful as Thief 4.
The game's not canon, just let it lie. The Thief franchise ended a long time ago.

We have few voice actors of our own who can imitate Stephen Russell well enough you could hardly hear the difference, so what's the point of getting him to do it? Just so we could say it's done by Stephen Russell?

SR was approached years ago by this community to voice Garrett for a fan project, and politely declined saying he couldn't, since (as has already been mentioned in this thread multiple times) Eidos owns the intellectual property for the Garrett character. So no matter how much you want this to happen, it won't, and Eidos certainly will ignore your petition even if it had a million signatures.
