I have just finished DX for the first time.
I killed ole mate Simmons straight away. [prick]
I had to talk to him and then I just ran and dodged like a madmen, shut the door and reloded etc [I was unprepared when I first saw him] and then snuck back out to see where he was, and he's just standing there like a dummy, so I gave him a rocket.
I thought he was a bit easy to be honest.

Well actually you can tranqualize Simons...
All you do is use your targeting mod and shoot him with the sniper rifle (While Cloaked of course) and keep shooting him until his overall gets down to 1% or so. Then He will take 3 Tranq. darts to the head and he'll go unconsious. Kinda disappointing though, You can't even pick up his plasma rifle... So I GEPed him...

First time I played I ran past Simons in the sea base. The when I wander around Area 51 He pops up out of no where. I nearly jumped out of my chair when he showed up. I managed to kill him with my shotgun. Every time I tried to use my GEP gun I just got blown up too.

I killed him with 20mm HE rounds in the sub base. I didn't take the cloak aug - I took radar transparency, but thank goodness for thermoptic camo!
I noticed that he ran onto the mining tracks and stayed there - you know, with his legs still running like he was semi-stuck. I also noticed earlier that you can flip a switch to electrify those tracks. Did anyone electrocute him?
Maybe I'll have to re-load a game and try it!

A sneaky way to kill Simons is to plant a LAM
on the right front wheel of the big drill on
your way to get the UC blueprints.
He sets it off and is almost dead when you
return.
He has a wierd sort of ghostly look about him.
This game amazes me.

If you run past Simons at the sub base, he shows up again at Area 51.
If you get away from him at Area 51 he doesn't reappear.

I couldn't kill Simons the first time (zero HE ammo), so, after attempting to kill him 20 times, I just ran away.
God, it was GREAT when I saw him again in Area 51, where I was prepared (although first times I died again, too, because I was fighting the soldiers and he sneaked up behind me. What a shock...), with GEP and HE. Eat it, Mr.Latest Firmware! :D

You cannot complete the game without killing Anna Navarre. If you don't kill her on the 747, you have to kill her at UNATCO HQ. Alex Jacobson won't give you the key to escape until she's dead.
If you don't kill her on the 747, I reccommend hacking her computer downstairs AND Manderley's computer upstairs for her full killphrase.
