The "next gen" versions of Legend and Anniversary for PC/360 look quite nice, with their more modern shader effects and HDR. I recommend opting for those instead of the releases for the original Xbox.

I have a Last Gen PC, though...

It's a shame that 90% of 3D accelerated PC games don't have togglable/scalable graphics options... oh wait.

I played Anniversary on an Athlon 64 3200+/x1950 Pro 512 combo and it ran beautifully.

Good news for you, but I have Athlon XP 2600+, gig of pc 3200 RAM and an ancient 9800 Pro...
Can't upgrade until June.

New screenshots. They remind me of Condemned. The game is out next Friday in Europe.

Quote:
Eidos Interactive, creator of some of the world’s leading videogame properties, today announced that its Vietnam survival horror shooter, Shellshock 2: Blood Trails™, will ship to retail in Europe on February 13th, 2009.
Sequel to the 2004 hit title, Shellshock: Nam ’67 ™, Blood Trails pits players against a war unlike any they have seen before. Taking the first-person war game and turning it on its head, players will experience a conflict where fear takes on a whole new meaning.
At the height of the Vietnam War, a covert ops cargo plane carrying a top-secret consignment known only as ‘Whiteknight’ is lost over the deepest, uncharted jungles. Special Ops soldiers are immediately dispatched to the scene to retrieve the top secret shipment and one-by-one they disappear without a trace… until one month later, one of them suddenly walks out of the jungle.
Crazed and deranged, something in the jungle had ripped out his humanity, poisoning his soul. Something in the darkness had driven him mad….and followed him out.
“Shellshock 2: Blood Trails™ takes players to a Vietnam War unlike any they will have experienced before. This is a war where your enemy doesn’t just want you dead… it wants to rip you to pieces,” said Lee Singleton, General Manager of Eidos Games Studios. “As the infected turn one-by-one, your instinct to fight becomes an instinct for flight, to leave the real horror of this war far behind.”
Shellshock 2: Blood Trails™ will be released on the Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft®, PlayStation®3 computer entertainment system and Games for Windows®.

This game looks fucking fantastic. Guess I'm finally getting my wish of a Vietnam War themed horror game. I mean, besides Heart of Evil.

Wow, that's sooner than I expected! Thanks for the news!
This is looking like a definite buy for me. It's fresh, you know?
gunsmoke on 6/2/2009 at 20:32
I will be doing my usual (waiting for you guys to buy it first and let me know if it earns the coveted TTLG stamp of approval).
I am extremely hopeful that it rocks, as it looks great.
