I dunno, I find it weird that you guys use a bunch of inbred rich people as your heads of state. :)

The Royal family is a very useful institution actually. And they're not really inbred.

It's still weird that the heads of your government are a monarchy and a prime minister, neither of which is elected by the populace.

What I found a bit odd is that Bush circumvented the vote to become president and then the people welcomed him back again four years later. I could understand it if he was a smooth talker or a good statesman but he came across as an utter idiot.
But yeah, any time I stumble across political discussion on the internet between yanks, the argument is basically that one is liberal and the other conservative. The terms are thrown like epithets. It's truly bizarre.

Shouldn't it be: Exhaustion 2012 (or, It's Not Forcible Rape if the Congressman is Willing and the SuperPAC is wealthy enough)
I'm still having trouble with the equation $ = Speech. At what point does it cross the line into quid pro quo & bribery when you provide paid political ads for your candidate & get "access" in return?

Recent Vegas shenanigans notwithstanding, what value do they serve exactly?

Look, I voted for Gore (along with a solid majority of Americans), I hate GWB, but he won the election by the rules that we use to determine these things.
As far as 2004 goes, look at it this way. Obama is terrible, but he's going to win the election this year because...Romney/Ryan. Bush was terrible but...John Kerry. This isn't exactly Clinton/Dole here where you have 2 decent candidates and pick the better one.

I voted for Kerry and I don't regret it one bit.
Jason Moyer on 31/8/2012 at 04:30
John Kerry was Mitt Romney with a different color pin on his lapel.

They even look alike, don't they?
At the time though it was him or Bush. The choice is just as obvious now.
