I've been a Thief fan from the very beginning, and only now have I gotten around to getting a copy of Thief Gold.
I've been spending loads of time with The Sword (which was always my favorite mission), exploring every inch of the manor and roaming around the Little Big World additions. And I've been discovering locations throughout the place that, even after all this time, I never knew existed. I just found the tunnels hidden above the trees near the garden -- those huge trees that grow inside orbs of their own foliage. I had no clue that you could rope-arrow into them and drop down inside the trees and crawl through bark-textured conduits above the garden.
So I wanted to ask: what little nooks and crannies and out-of-the-way oddities have you stumbled across in there? There are tons of details hidden in this mission. What's worth noting?

Well, I've never read the guide. Don't want to spoil it for me. Most of it I know already anyway. BUT. Funny thing tonight, I've been running through Thief Gold again. I still love it, even after all these years.
I too am in Constantine's Mansion right now. I'm up top by the sword, I've knocked out the patroling guards, climbing all over the funky tree tunnels. Funny thing is, I decide to explore another tunnel, takes you further up top, you can look down onto the sword. The *thing* above, well, looks like a giant penis. :P I've seen it before, just look at it and leave the area.
Until tonight. I decided to shoot a broadhead in it. I shoot the damn thing, and the sword drops! I never knew that......:o :wot: After all these freakin years, something new I learned. Will wonders never cease. Amazing, it made me smile. :)

You didn't know that either Goldmoon? It was very surprising. Nice find indeed. :ebil: When you shoot at it, it disappears, I forgot to mention that. As I play it again, after all these years, memories keep coming back, of how I played before, and how much better I've gotten.
Effortless now. And the ammo you get, even when you don't buy stuff, I've forgotten how much you get, even on expert. Most FM's don't give that much.

I just played through TMA and I know exactly what you mean about effortless BA.
I was so surprised at how good I was/easy it was. (On expert natch)

The funny thing is that the old sword always appears somewhere else. I always try to find it before ending the mission...like a bonus objective. :joke:

Weird I've never had that happen, would of been more fun if it did!! And made perfect sense too, given that whacked out mansion.
