Honestly, was there anyone who wasn't expecting this game to have "unpolished gem" status? It seems to be the norm for independent, lower budget, overly ambitious titles to go this route (eg Boiling Point: Road to Hell, The Precursors... hell, even Stalker: SoC).
That being said, I'm going to wait for it to be patched up (and the inevitable Steam sale, since I'm being honest).

I'm in the same pot as DaBeast here. I've been
cautiously optimistic™ about this, and I'd definitely like to support an indie developer with the balls and dedication to bet on an FPS/RPG like this, but what I'm reading here and there just won't let me get off the fence. It's not the writing itself, I kind of expected it to go this way from the pre-release materials and was ready to put up with it if need be, but reports of inconsistent quality to the worldspaces, botmatch AI and especially that oddball save system are putting me off. Ten quid is a tempting offer, but I dunno...

EPICThat's the kind of awesome crap that really tempts me to fork out for the game. Though considering my backlog and the mixed reports I think I'll give it a miss for now...

So far I really like it. As mentioned previously the guns feel really nice for the source engine. However, I don't like how the characters speak gibberish; albeit you could excuse this because its an indie game but then look how many voice-overs the Nameless Mod included.
