Dethtoll wasn't being serious. Relax, bro.
Okay, I've taken several diazepam and I'm pretty relaxed.
The AI in this game is really shitty as mentioned earlier given that it is trying to be a stealth game to those that wish to play it that way. The enemy can see me way before they're even rendered on screen so much so that I'm abandoning trying to play the game stealthy at all.

The deal's over but you can still get the 4-pack for £45, which still saves a few quid.

After seeing the reaction the developers have to all of the feedback, it's placed the game in the "definitively after a few patches" category. That's not a comment on "omg the game is buggy" but "I see they're going to keep working on this, and I want the best experience."

I can't wait for the patch to get a proper go at this game. Although from what I've read they won't rewrite the AI but instead will simply half the AI's view distance.

I beat it in about 8 hours. It's one strange game, that's for sure.
It's no doubt a RPG/FPS Deus Ex wannabe but also feels like something such as Killing Floor or L4D with the respawning, "armories" that are everywhere and coop elements. The huge levels are basically devoid of life besides excessively spawning baddies. I've had a cyberdemon-like mech respawn behind me a few times in one level. All of the maps are very dark, enough to garner complaints due to people having a hard time seeing. The skills, spells (psy) and research are bizarre and not well explained. Gunplay is ok but it's too much of a shooting gallery for my tastes. The dialog is weak at best, but frequently laughably awful. The AI is the psychic sort but supposedly you can do some stealth somehow (the AI hears and sees you incredibly well).
It has high replayability if you want to burn time playing with the various RPG stats/powers/skills. But the missions are so weak that I'm not sure what the reward would be besides becoming really powerful at killing respawns.
The guns are the usual pistols, shotguns, assault rifles, sniper rifles, heavy machine guns stuff. I think an unlock might be an energy weapon but I'm not sure. When I got out the melee weapons I was hoping for some Dark Messiah-like control but it's not as smooth as that.
It's pretty mediocre in my opinion. It has elements that could be harnessed into awesome, but it's way too unrefined and empty/hollow-feeling right now. The atmosphere is great and it's very otherwordly, both of which I approve of.

There is a new patch out which supposedly makes the game a lot more playable and fixes some of the common complaints in this thread. Here are the patch (

I'm definitely going to give this game a proper run through now.

Would people say it's worth a pop now at 10 smackers?
