Stalker: Clear Sky(I'm not putting in the stupid dots). This game is really making me salivate. So much so I needed to reinstall Stalker and mod it out. AMK + float 32 + full bump mapping(its just a bunch of textures) so far is giving me a beautiful and engaging experience.
Spore: Which most of you already played if your interested. I'm personally going to wait till the hype dies down and I can get a meaningful retrospective on the game(one with less hype). So far it looks fun, but not very deep. The whole 3 lifetime installs is the only reason I have not bought it yet. I'm not interested in supporting that behavior.
Mercenaries 2: I liked the first one. It was a good get drunk and play game. This one is my next play after my replay of Stalker.
Fallout 3: It's fallout. Even if I hate some parts of it I will soak up like a sponge. The game rides on the backs of giants and will be played and beaten. Plus its always good to show that the IP still has value, so perhaps next time BS could get it right. I did like Morrowind, just not so fond of oblivion.
Call of Duty 5:Back to WW2? What are they thinking? Its too much of a step back. They should have done a logical progression with near future setting in my opinion. They could use metalstorm weapons and automated drones and such. But I guess that would show a bit too much imagination.
Brothers in Arms: Another WW2 Game. This game mostly gets props for the tactical style of combat. Hopefully it works as well as they boast.
Ghostbusters: I'm a sucker for Ghostbusters. Its being developed by terminal reality, a match made in heaven. The only game I really hated from them is their Alone in the Dark game (and thats just because it was so damn hard).
Where were these games two months ago when PC gaming was looking mighty dry? Damned Christmas.
Is that it? Any other anticipated games coming out this quarter?

You can take Ghostbusters off that list, since it looks like it's not going to come out until next year to coincide with the 25th anniversary of the film.
You also forgot Mirror's Edge and Left 4 Dead (4 player co-op Zombie Apocalypse action? Yes please.)

'Fable 2' and 'Fallout 3' are easily my most anticipated games, but I'm also looking Forward to 'Dead Space' and 'Mirror's Edge'.
A few others like 'Zeno Clash' and 'Left 4 Dead' are also on my radar.

Even without a decent video card I am looking forward to Clear Sky and Fallout 3- I'll play them once I get everything sorted out, and of course they've already been preordered...
As for CoD5, I don't think it's a step back; after all, they're doing something other than Europe for once...
Brothers in Arms? I love BiA's method of storytelling compared to other WW2 games.

Fallout 3 (because despite Fallout's charm, I don't think I'm falling for it) and Mirror's Edge (because I'm all about playing with form and structure in a FPS-style game, that's why I loved Thief).
I did quite fancy Clear Sky until I started reading reviews and I'm not interested in buying a game so I can purely play mods later. I am still farting around with STALKER over a year after its release and still find it to be an immensely atmospheric and brilliantly constructed game world with mediocre gameplay and terrible storytelling.
That's about it. I don't really do gaming anymore. :(

Mirrors edge could be a great game, but from what I've seen so far from the tech demo's tell me in a lot of ways it will be on rails. Anyone seen a video of the player fucking up or going the wrong way? Or an alternative way for that matter? I have not seen it yet, but my gut tells me they might as well give you just a jump and punch button. I'm hoping its free form awesome, but I wont know till I play it.
Left 4 dead in a lot of ways has been left B hind. There are so many zombie co-op mods already that being excited about this product is hard for me. Even CoD4 has a zombie mod...
Fable 2... well, so far I've seen little charm from it. The first one had charm in spades. It could be good.

(
http://www.rockpapershotgun.com/2008/08/03/mirrors-edge-30-minute-shakycam/) Right Here. Mostly fucking up (missed jumps, sometimes not even noticing where a jump is and just running off a ledge) rather than going the wrong way, but it certainly gives an idea of how the parkour mechanics aren't as easy as you might think. Plus they turn off the runner vision at about the 20 minute mark, so you can see what the game world looks like without the red highlights on stuff (which seems like the best way to play, really, runner vision will probably only serve to stifle a player's creativity while picking a route). The video is in spanish, though. Not to derail into a Mirror's Edge thread, but it is seriously the game I'm looking forward to the most right now.

Since I don't have any consoles, I'm interested in the PC release of Bully, which I've heard nothing but good things about.
Also, A Vampyre Story is coming out at the end of October (finally!)

Fallout 3: It's fallout.
Clear Sky sounded promising till the news that they're building whole game around what was most wrong in the original, and so far reviews and opinions only confirm that the game sucks.
Spore... I never really caught the hype, it's Will Wright's "game" and I don't fancy that. I did hear about half the content being cut a long time ago, I dunno if they put it back in or what.
Mirror's Edge - I was always skeptical because of how linear it looked. I've seen a vid with the snipers and it was just as I suspected, plus bland environment, plus blind enemies with alzheimer's. I heard that there was some vid showing different routes released later on, but I never got around to seeing it, so I guess there's a chance this might be good at highest diff or something.

http://www.metacritic.com/games/platforms/pc/stalkerclearsky) Yep. Not a single positive review in the lot. Nosiree. Not a single one. Nope. Every review is the glaring "bad game red." No "great game green" or "passable game yellow" to be seen.
