While I agree that Jaws was awesome I don't have to take seriously anyone who doesn't like Blade Runner. ;)

Hah, good call. For what it's worth, I think Blade Runner is sort of like STALKER in its flawed ambition; beautifully shot, atmospheric and the premise is fucking amazing, some moments of it work beautifully but as a whole the narrative doesn't hang together and the characters are as clear as mud.

I was going to say why it's a good but not great movie, but Scots pretty much nailed it. He IS too fucking concise. :D
That's it for me too, really: the narrative's too disjointed, and the people lack substantial character detail and (relatable) motivation for you to care about them.
Actually, come to think of it, that's a lot like a PKD story! Heh.

Dark City is also fucking great. I watched the Director's Cut a few weeks ago- made a great movie 1532626x better.
