Washington DC is an inspired choice for this game world. Scary to think the world could still end up like that.
It's even more scary to think that, 200 years after the bombs dropped, nobody's bothered sweeping up yet.

although I have found just over half the locations - if there are 100 in total as is rumoured.

Looking at most walkthroughs it seems most of the big quests I have already completed.
There are also many side-quests that aren't filed in the PIP Boy's quest list.

I'll grant that TTLG has the unique "Et tu, Levine?" angle going on, but the specific complaints against Bioshock (limited replay value, silly endings, poor enemy variety, etc etc) I've seen echoed in many other forums. Hell, Quarter To Three has a (

Which, ironically, they use to discuss some its finest aspects.

When you hit 20 be sure to get the perk that gives you all the map locations. Then you`ll get to see just how many there are.

FO1 has not stood the test of time very well
I won't even bother reading further. I'm outta this thread before I'll hear something that really will make me rage.

Perhaps Zygoptera has a point that the dialogue was not as rich as in other RPGs of that time, like Baldur's Gates or Torment ... but Torment was a rare extreme regarding dialogues anyway. Also bad thing is that several quests and ending variations have been cut out or unfinished for the final game. But claiming it hasn't stand the test of time is dull, pretty much any 10 years old game can't stand test of time in area of controls and interface. That would suggest that F3 is gameplay-wise a big progress or similarly Bioshock is a big leap in gameplay evolution from System Shock. While both F3 and BS are gameplay-wise a lot primitivized in comparison with their predecessors. SShocks and Fallouts were just made for hardcore CRPGrs, unlike these two modern titles which beg for attention of broader audience. In fact Fallout has introduced pretty much simple RPG system in comparison with ancient RPG series like Wizardry or Dungeon Masters where you had various statistic charts, dozens of skills and such... It's sad but it is so - RPGs are getting more and more primitive over time.
F3 - I play it at quite relaxed pace, just level 6, finished THOSE! quest. Nice one. When I found Dr. Lesko in the metro behind the iron door, he startled me a lot and it was even funnier he said I startled him! Luckily I had a dialogue option in sense "Are you kidding? You nearly caused me a heart attack!" Good one!
And when I found NAUGHTY NIGHTWEAR and put it on my character, I was giggling for 10 minutes. Bizarre idea. :cheeky: The devs are probably making fun of all those magical armors with various abilities in fantasy RPGs (of their own production too, no doubt). Similar joke like that super fantasy armor you could find in special encounter in Fallout Tactics.

BR, for the THOSE! quest, what's your weapon of choice? I find myself burning through 10mm ammo a little too much in that one.
N'Al on 20/11/2008 at 11:15
I know I'm not BR, but: I was primarily using the Laser Pistol, and some Frag Mines. Was a challenge, but not too hard.

Friend told me he needed two mininukes for the Queen but later I realized you don't have to kill the queen at all. (he just likes to play in style "Shoot first, ask questions later." As I'm focused on small conventional firearms, the best weapons I have so far are hunting rifle and assault rifle, few well aimed shots can put ant warriors to rest and I used some mines to make the job easier. I dislike how easily I can disarm mines with Explosives barely 25%... too easy.
Ouch and Talon Mercs are tough boys. We played Hide and Seek for half an hour in Grayditch ruins until I got all three of them.
