Can you make a false textured floor that you can fall through? I have seen the floors pull away but I'm not sure if I've seen a false floor you can fall through.

Yes.
Just make an object, say a res cube, textured the way you want and sized appropriately, and don't give it any physics.

I had a similar idea in a project I later abandoned. I just made a hole in the middle of the floor and covered it with a carpet.
