have already stated T1/TG list, but was only intending to list the better fm, either by size or quality....there are a lot of very small ones and a lot of demos in there.....but re your post will go back to it and include others that i thought were boring and not worth recommending for this thread, but do we wish to list everything even if it really is bad....i don't think so, but ill let you make that choice.....i'm good at wimping out of tough decisions....:joke:
As for the T2 fms, there are so many there that i have not played, i will most likely only raise questions on those i know to be clearly incorrectly categorized

Hi nickie, here is the list of T1/TG that I have played and so can classify for the mission type thread, there are 42 fms that I can't classify cos I havn't played or have no notes for, but if anyone else wishes to classify them into the sub-sections of the mission type thread they are very much welcome to......

Thanks very much for those - expect I/we'll use a strikethrough to show what's been done. And it does look like Mines of Margroth is in the wrong place so that will get moved. No need to hurry with the T2 list, these will take a long time to do. :)

I think it's an excellent idea to add Must Play FMs, but since the 'Must Play' attribute of FM is entirely subjective matter, and in order to prevent a number of primitive emotions, when disputes arise, I would suggest making a poll to decide the best 'Must Play' FMs. Listing all 1000+ FMs wouldn't of course be conventional, it would be good idea to start with some twenty popular FMs and adding poll choices once more are suggested. I can offer my help and do the poll thread if it's considered required. Knowing the target number of FMs to include in the list would be helpful.

or just propose what you think are 'must plays' and let nickie and the other moderators make the judgement call...but in reality when it comes down to 'must play' i think there are not many candidates so overall there probally would be a general concenus (oops where's my bleedy dictinary...Arrrg)....
i just thought we should have a few more in that section and ended up with an afternoon project....and now i've got a headache so i'm off to the pub :D
but please if anyone would like to suggest other 'must play' T1/TG or even T2 fm here's where to do so....

Personally, I think that the Must Play category is the least important - there are 36 in that section at the moment. We have numerous 'recommended missions' threads and some of those are in the links at the bottom of the first post. There's also LordEtern's (
http://www.ttlg.com/forums/showthread.php?t=138745) Greatest Missions Timeline which lists most 'popular' missions up to 2012 (2012 is in a separate linked thread). But it might be an idea to make sure that there's a small selection of 'greatest' missions from each year included in the category.

@ yxlplig thanks for Varzx Obelisk correction, my computer crashed 4 months ago and i lost a huge amount of data so was only going from rather limited notes
also re: jis fms and others possible classifications, nickie doesn't wish to have any more categories and she said lets not bother with 'demos', but maybe we could persuade her to open 1 new category 'Odds and Sods'....rather pertinent for the jis fms, we could throw almost anything into that group inc Gauntlet, Captured by Beasts,demos and possibly some like 'Fall of a Chook' which at the mo would need to be classified as a mansion fm but thats only because its set in a building...but its not really a mansion as you and i may think of a mansion....

Not quite what I said which was that I didn't think we needed to include demos. And I still don't. There are so many full missions that haven't been included. By all means have a list of demos and/or uncategorizable missions but they would be at the very end of my list.
