Whilst repairing the Mission by Type thread links, I believed there was a need for an alphabetical list of all the T2 FMs, which should have taken only a couple of hours to sort out...however it quickly morphed into an alphabetical listing with all the FMsel/Darkloader FM titles/file names listed alongside as I am constantly getting utterly frustrated trying to find the right FM, as FMsel in particular doesn't list FMs alphabetically but according to its file/zip name thus having ie TAC / c2 / wc or T2GP as the starting letters of the FMsel listing. So, an FMsel/Darkloader mission finder guide developed, which rapidly became a bit of a marathon task (nearly 100 hours work, 350 FMs downloaded and lots of coffee) but is now available for general usage.....nickie (god bless her) has posted it into the Fan Mission links....and you can it find here...
(http://www.ttlg.com/forums/showthread.php?t=144205) LINKI would like to publicly give nickie massive thanks for all of her patience whilst I put this guide together, as well as her hard work in formatting the 'table' that we have placed all the missions in, and just as big a thank-you to Al_B who stepped in with his superb coding skills and made the whole thing look just brilliant and easy to maintain over the coming months and years....Thank you to both of you.
Also thanks to brethren for his help and advice...:thumb:
Please note that there is a "notes and reference" section at the end of the Guide which says:
Notes & References.................................................................................................... .............................................................................................
Please note that although I included all the Fan Missions I could find, this is not meant to be considered as a 'Master List' of Fms but is a tool to help people find the correct FM in their FMsel, Darkloader, (
http://www.ttlg.com/forums/showthread.php?t=125417&highlight=GarrettLoader) GarrettLoader, (
http://www.ttlg.com/forums/showthread.php?t=133912&highlight=Loader) ModernLoader or (
http://www.ttlg.com/forums/showthread.php?t=135810&highlight=TFMM) TFMM.
I have only included the mission loader names where I considered there was a good chance of people either not finding the correct FM due to the fact they are listed with a completely different starting letter than the FM title, or there is a remarkable similarity to that of another FM, so I included both. Where I believe it is easy to recognize the correct FM without difficulty I did not include the Loader title for aesthetic purposes.
If when using this listing if you find any errors, spelling mistakes, omissions (there are many FM zip versions out there and I could only work from the FMs I had downloaded and go by how my FMsel/Darkloader or Garrettloader listed the FMs) or you think I have placed an FM in the list under an inappropriate name/title, please post in this thread....LINK....and I will correct / add / alter as appropriate.
FM names in brackets after the main FM title means either it is commonly used alternative name for that FM or in some cases, is the English translation.
I removed the FM version numbers and .zip from the file name due to aesthetics and because some FMs have a number of different versions and it seemed pointless to include every version available.
All FMs are listed alphabetically but I have always put 'A' and 'The' after the name of the FM....when searching through Darkloader or FMsel you will find you may need to look for the FM with either 'A' or 'The' placed first.
Where an FM has 2 or 3 entries in the file name column, I have always placed the FMsel file name first, followed by the Darkloader name, but on occasion the file name of both FMsel and Darkloader is the same, in these cases there is usually only 1 entry.
* These Fms are listed as demos either in the read me file, zip file or from other sources such as TTLG, however for the purposes of this guide demos that are purely DromEd demos, released to demonstrate new objects, AIs or other models ( often these demos have no way to end the mission ) have been excluded. All demos included in this guide can be considered as true fan missions as they have objectives, proper gameplay and often loot to find, however bizarre or small they may be. For further info it is advised you read the read-me file. Please note, for the purposes of this guide any mission that was a contest entry is not listed as a demo even if the zip or read me file says it is.
** Fms that were released but later deleted / removed at the request of the author
*** These FMs were never officially released by the author, but became available for general download
........................................................................................................................................................................................
NB. I do not have ModernLoader or TFMM installed so if anyone uses these FM loaders and can inform me if there is a significant number of other FM titles to be added to this guide please let me know and I'll amend the guide accordingly.
I hope this makes everything as clear as I hoped, but if you do have any suggestions as to how this thread can be improved, you are welcome to make suggestions.
